| Why sgain dhubs in Estes Park, Colorado?
One of Colorado's little secrets is that the Front Range (the eastern facing mountains of Northern Colorado) has a large British population. And Estes Park — the little mountain town at the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park — is home to the Longs Peak Scottish Irish Highland Festival. Held each September, this is the largest highland festival in North America. (A click on their poster at the left will take you to the Festival website.) I wanted a unique sgian dhub to wear with my kilt, and I didn't want to pay the extreme prices being asked for nice ones. So I made my own and popular demans has turned me into a sgian dhub maker. What could be more logical? |
