The most memorable part of any web address is the part right after the "www." That is what customers or visitors to your site will remember...or forget, if it is too odd or hard to recall. That name can have a great impact on the success of your website.

Having your own domain name indicates to many people that you are both professional and permanent. After all, if you were looking for a new doctor, whose business card web address would give you the better impression:

While there are many domain types, the most commonly used in the US include: commercial enterprise (.com), educational establishment (.edu), government body (.gov), military (.mil), network (.net), and nonprofit organization (.org). A monopoly on licensing of these names was granted some years ago to Network Solutions (Internic) but was recently made competitive. Pricing for individual domains is the same from all regsitrars, however. At present, registration costs $35 per year, and guarantees exclusive rights to a domain name. There is one and only one bonkreations.com, for instance...and that is us.

Other domain types are heavily marketed—many are licensed by other countries—and the varieties are sure to increase. But for most purposes, .com is the best choice, because that is what web users have come to expect.

We register the domain in your name, and have Internic bill you directly, so that you will retain all rights to the domain name.
